No interaction while driving
Choose your route, start recording, and put your phone away before you move. A passenger may operate the app. Otherwise, stop and park somewhere safe and lawful before touching your device.
Scores are not speed targets
Any drive score, ranking, statistic, achievement, or community reaction is intended for personal reflection and discovery. It must never be treated as an instruction, challenge, race, or encouragement to drive faster or take risks.
Use your own judgement
Routes and community posts may be incomplete, outdated, unsuitable, private, closed, hazardous, or incorrectly described. Check official signs and current conditions. Do not enter restricted land, ford floodwater, or continue when conditions feel unsafe.
Protect everyone on the road
Give extra care and space to pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, motorcyclists, wildlife, residents, and other road users. Drive to the conditions, even when that means travelling well below the posted limit.
Emergencies
Schpin is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger or a collision, stop safely, follow local law, and contact the appropriate emergency service. In the UK, call 999 or 112 in an emergency.
